.
This is an easy game to setup at home using lids, a sharpie pen and wax paper.
Step one – collect lids from water bottles juice bottles, milk cartons etc.
Step two – using a sharpie, write each letter of the alphabet and the letters zero through 20 on a lid.
Step three – trace each lead on wax paper in their correct order. This way your child can match up the letters if he is an early learner.
Step four – now just make up games. The first few times, I put all of the lids in the jar and my son picked one out and placed it and it's correct spot. He thought this was similar to being go and therefore likes to play the game. After a few times, I asked him to find the letters of his first and middle name. This was helpful because I am trying to teach him how to spell his name so that he can write his name on his own.
When they are of this game, I can throw them into a sandbox and ask them to go on ABC treasure hunt.
